Jon Kevin Schwartzkopf

Jon Kevin Schwartzkopf, 69, of Loveland, Colorado passed away Monday, October 21, 2024. Born in Ness City, Kansas, he was the son of Alvin and Jane Schwartzkopf. Jon graduated from Ness City High School in 1973 and Regis University with a BA in Business. Jon excelled in basketball and football in high school, making life-long friends. Always a convivial companion, it was no surprise he was voted "most fun to be with" by his graduating class of 57 students.

In 1976, Jon met and married the love of his life, Anita Fowler in a beautiful New Year's Eve ceremony in Hutchinson, Kansas. Together they welcomed two sons, Kyle and Michael in Kansas and after moving to Colorado in 1986, a daughter Sara. Jon treasured his children and was especially proud of their accomplishments and who they became as adults.

Jon was a stockbroker and then an insurance agent in Colorado for many years until retirement. He stayed active with basketball and tennis in city leagues and enjoyed working on cars and trucks as well as rebuilding a few classics. His garage was a masterpiece of chaos but knew where everything was and immediately noticed if something was missing.

Surviving is his wife, Anita; son Kyle and daughter Sara, both of Colorado; mother Jane Schwartzkopf, of Ness City, Kansas; sisters Lee Ann Taylor of Chatham, New Jersey, Deana Schwartzkopf of Hutchinson, Kansas and brother Dan Schwartzkopf of Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Jon was predeceased by his father Alvin and his son Michael.

Jon also leaves behind sister and brother-in-laws; many nieces and nephews; aunts and cousins; friends, neighbors and colleagues who will all miss his lending hand, and call or visit just to catch up.

A memorial service for Jon will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Allnutt Funeral Service, Hunter Chapel Loveland, Colorado with a reception to follow.
