I worked at the Lodge in the grocery store in the summers of 1973 and 1974, and always thought of Laura as a big sister and a good friend. I will miss her big smile when I would go up to Meeker Park Lodge almost yearly to visit Laura and her family. I couldn't have asked for a better summer working experience. God bless you Laura and my condolences go out to my other friends, Patty and Bonnie.

To whom it may concern, I’m wondering if this is the same Laura Dever that knew my mom before she died 38 years ago. Her name was Faye Barta and they met at Western Technical College in Denver. Laura was a bridesmaid in my mom’s wedding. We are from ND but I know they met in Denver at school. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I tried finding Laura right after my mom died 35 years ago but that was before internet and social media.

We are so saddened for your loss.  Laura was always such a joy to our family--greeting us like long lost friends when we would visit.  And I'm sure we drove her crazy--but she never showed it! Sending our condolences to you all from the extended Stoneburner family.

So sad to hear of Laura’s passing.

In her role at the helm of Meeker Park, she made everyone feel like part of the family.  In our family’s history, we have a 55 year history of frequenting Meeker Park.  Laura always remembered our names, and then those of our offspring…priceless welcome!

Laura was a part of my "mountain" life for all my life! My family rented Meeker cabins until we bought our own piece of Meeker heaven in 1964. From all our teenage shenanigans to doing crossword puzzles on the lodge's front porch in recent years, Laura was a part of it. We have been blessed to know generations of Devers. Laura, you will be missed and will always hold a place in my heart. May God bring comfort to the Dever family and all that loved Laura.

I am so very sorry to hear about Laura.  My husband Scott and I got engaged at her house back in August of 1989.  It was such fun times over the years returning to Meeker Park Lodge and visiting Laura and Patty and everyone.  Scott's first job was Meeker Park Lodge and he remembers it fondly.  Again so sorry to hear about Laura and please keep Scott and I updated about the services as we would like to attend.

We were so sad to learn of Laura's passing. We had been friends for six decades. We grew up with the Dever "kids" every summer after buying our cabin in 1962. As kids, we hiked, rode horses, camped, went to woodsies, square dances, teen dances, Perry's and more. As adults, we played golf, went to dinner theatre, out to eat, and chatted alot.

In recent years, we would bring our laundry to the Lodge laundromat on Sundays and Laura would invite us in to share the family fried chicken dinner. And it was the best fried chicken ever! We last saw Laura at the celebration for the Meeker Park 100th anniversary.  I am grateful for so many years of friendship. We will miss Laura.
