Maisie, age 94 of Shoreview, MN went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 12 due to Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Fingal, ND in 1927, she graduated from high school in Valley City, ND, then moved to St. Paul and married her beloved William (Willie) J. Peterson in 1947. They spent their years in St. Paul and surrounding area. She worked as a meat wrapper at Knowlan’s grocery stores and was a member of UFCW. She will be remembered by family and friends as a great cook and homemaker. The last few years of her life were spent in Assisted Living in Loveland, CO.
Survived by sons: Gary (Judy) Peterson of Missoula, MT and Greg (Cheryl) Peterson of Johnstown, CO. Grandchildren: Eric (Mandi) Peterson, Lisa (Christopher) Beard, Jesse (Sarah) Peterson and Jeremy (Jessica) Peterson, and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother (Russell), two sisters (Beatrice and Violet), husband (William) and grandson (Ethan).
A memorial service is planned for 11 am on July 29 at Allnutt Funeral Home in Loveland, CO. Her ashes will be laid to rest by her husband later this summer in MN. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help fight Alzheimer’s and Dementia at alz.org.
