

Martell Wilker, 82, of Berthoud, Colorado, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025. He was born in Chamberlain, South Dakota on May 4, 1943 to Carl and Claudia (Coombs) Wilker. The family moved to Fillmore, Utah when Martell was five years old. They then moved to Manti, Utah until Martell was a Senior in high school and then he moved to Richfield, Utah, where he graduated.
In 1961, Martell moved to Gardena, California. In 1965, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He received a National Defense Service Medal as an Expert (Rifle). He was discharged in 1971.
Martell returned to Long Beach, California and started working in a bakery as he studied to become an electrician. He became a very successful electrician in 1968 and retired in 2001.
Martell married Melanie in 1970 and they had one son, Travis. They divorced in 1974. In 1978, he married Linda Boegler and they had a daughter, Trista. They were married for 47 years.
During his marriage to Linda they loved to travel. They had many great vacations in an RV and later vacations in Hawaii, Martell enjoyed ziplining, snorkeling, water skiing and sightseeing.
Martell is survived by his wife, Linda Wilker; son, Travis Wilker; daughter, Trista Wilker; grandchildren, Joey Wilker, Kane Wilker, Parker Gutierrez and Bodhi Gutierrez and his nephews, Rudy Wilker and Carl Wilker and his niece, Vanessa Wells.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Claudia Wilker, brother, Errol Wilker and sisters, Mardee Bunker (twin) and Merlynn Wilker.
