Neva Fay Noirot, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on October 7, 1931, she was the fifth child of Floyd and Fay Fisher. The Fishers originally homesteaded near Walsenburg, CO, but when their home was destroyed by fire, moved to Florence where Floyd worked at a local coal mine. Neva was a true coal miner's daughter.
Neva graduated from Florence High School circa 1949. She then worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell in Florence where she met Deane Noirot. They were married January 6, 1952 and built a home in Florence near her mother, father, and two sisters, Lurleen and June. Neva and Deane eventually lived in Florence, Canon City, Fort Collins, Littleton, and finally, Loveland Colorado, where, using the grit of homesteaders from the past, they built a beautiful home. They raised three children, Tamarra, Mark, and Matthew, who love the outdoors and the mountains of Colorado just as their parents did. Together, the family spent many weekends and vacations year round visiting favorite high country spots where hiking, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and meals around the campfire created indelible family memories. Neva always welcomed new members into the family including Jan and Diana as special daughters, Julie-Anna and Kelli as wonderful granddaughters, and David as a thoughtful son.
Neva had lifelong passions for gardening, sewing, embroidering, crafting, and candy making. She always had beautiful flowers growing in and around the house. Her daughter treasures the dresses Neva made. The Loveland home is filled with embroidery projects Neva creatively finished. The family continues to enjoy and cherish the many crafts Neva and Deane made for the holidays: deer constructed from sticks, winter cottages, wooden Santas, angels, and tree ornaments that were all painted by hand. During the holidays, Neva also prepared scrumptious candies, cookies, and cakes. Everyone looked forward to receiving a goodies tray. Neva also spent hours sanding, staining, and finishing the stunning woodworking projects that Deane made for many of the family. These were (and remain) heirlooms built to last and finished with love.
Neva and Deane traveled the world in retirement, visiting places like Europe, Iceland, China, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Maine, Hawaii, and Canada. They shared many wondrous memories during these adventures, but they were always glad to come home to Colorado where many strong ties remain on both sides of the family.
Neva was the last surviving member of her Fisher Family, preceded in death by Buren, Keith, June, and Lurleen. In February of 2025, Deane passed away leaving Neva to manage the Loveland ranch.
Neva is survived by her children, Tamarra Noirot & David Bernardini, Mark & Jan Noirot, and Matthew & Diana Noirot, as well as grandchildren Morgan Noirot, Daniel and Julie-Anna Noirot, AmiLi Noirot, Brandon and Kelli Noirot, and Tyler Noirot all of whom loved her dearly.
