Patrick Delvin Gneiser

Pat was born in Steamboat, CO on August 22, 1949 to Delvin and Frances (Smith) Gneiser. After high school, Pat served in the US Navy and upon honorable discharge started to work in the Edna Mine in Oak Creek, CO. When the mine closed, Pat began building houses for a friend, Glen Cox, in Routt County and when that slowed, he moved to Arriba, CO where he purchased a truck and started hauling cattle and wheat during the harvest. He then sold his truck and started his US Post Office career in Louisville, CO. In 2003, Pat transferred with the Post Office to Grand Junction, CO where he met Marrianne. In 2006, Pat married Marrianne and with that, gained 3 children and later, 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters. In 2013, Pat and Marrianne moved to Loveland, CO to retire.

When Pat was younger, he loved to ride dirt bikes with his family and friends and helping and taking part in the Enduro’s at Hahns Peak and Lynx Pass. A highlight of every year for Pat was going to the Ranch and helping his brother, Kevin, during haying season. Pat was a proud husband, brother, dad, grandpa and uncle. He loved to boast about his kids, grandkids and nieces and nephews to anyone who would listen. Pat loved life, traveling and finding new adventures with his wife and pets. Pat had the best smile!

Pat is preceded in death by his parents Delvin and Frances Gneiser and his sister Erle Lynne Jones. He is survived by wife Marrianne; children Michelle Dobbs (husband Timothy and son Devin), Christopher Dicamillo (wife Lynna, daughters Brennen and Bailey) Briana Humble (husband James), brother Kevin Gneiser (Trina), nephew Brandon Himmerite (wife Rachel and children, Lucas and Seth), niece Kaleyne Turner (husband Tyrell and children Bryant and Blair), brother-in-law Darold Jones, nephews Mark Jones, Ryan Jones (wife Jennyfer), Cody Jones (wife Michelle and children, Windom and Adelyn) and niece Kendra Lay (husband Zane and children, Makaeli, Holden, and Ellis).

A celebration of life will be held in Routt County, details to be determined.
