nature and history was evident in his volunteer work at the Teddy Roosevelt House and leading birdwatching groups at Jones Beach. A devoted hockey fan, he cheered on the New York Islanders with
enthusiasm and loved making scrapbooks commemorating each season. He found great joy in
nature, often visiting the Moffat Tunnel in Rollinsville, CO, to watch the trains go through. Robert
also cherished the time spent on cruises with his wife, Madeline. He was also a swimmer and often
went to swim laps at the local swimming pools.
