Sandy was born in Akron, Ohio on July 31st 1956, the youngest of three children. She loved distance running in her youth, completing the 1981 Pikes Peak Marathon Ascent- She also enjoyed ice skating, and loved the Colorado sun most of her life. She loved her beloved German Shepherds also. She had a passion for them, and had a true love of Police K9s, and how amazing the teams are. She had a gift for writing from a young age, even having college level English by the beginning of 7th Grade. She loved to cook and bake, her specialty was her cinnamon rolls and cookies. She loved her daughters Laura and Caitlin (Catie) with all of her heart. And she was very proud of her Scottish and German heritage as well.
She is survived by her daughters Laura and Catie, as well as her sisters Nancy and Barbara.
A graveside service for Sandra will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Highland Cemetery, Wellington, Colorado.
