Susan M. Datz of Loveland passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Stephen R. Datz, who passed away in 2015.
Susan was born in Abington, Pennsylvania and moved to Colorado to attend college, where she met her husband, Stephen. She was a resident of Loveland for 45 years and deeply loved the sunshine, mountains, and scenic beauty of Colorado. Among her favorite activities were cultivating her flower gardens, cooking, and visiting family.
She is survived by her sons Stephen C. (and wife Andrea) and Michael (and wife Katherine), her sister Cynthia Bickford (and husband Timothy), and her brother-in-law Terry Datz.
Susan was a devoted sister, wife, and mother and it was in her family that she dedicated her time, love, and support and found her deepest joy.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the support from Good Samaritan Society - Loveland Village and the emergency medical care at the Medical Center of the Rockies. Thank you also to her longtime neighbors and friends for their companionship and support over the years.
Cremation has been conducted, with a memorial gathering to be scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either Hope Lives! The Lydia Dody Breast Cancer Support Center or NOCO Humane in care of Allnutt Funeral Service.
