Terry was born the son of Joe and Charlene (Dirks) Kanton on April 22, 1956. He was raised and educated in Greensburg, Kansas, graduating from high school in 1974. Upon his graduation, he worked at the local Co-Op before moving to Loveland, Colorado in the eighties. Terry married Kathi Stephenson and together they had a son Dal. They later divorced. Terry was the service manager at the Loveland Chrysler dealership for many years. Terry continued working within the automotive industry as a service writer until his health would no longer allow.
Terry enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado and motorcycle riding.
Terry will be missed by his son Dal Cody Kanton of Loveland, Colorado; brothers: Jimmy Kanton (Linda) of Littleton, Colorado and Joe E. Kanton of Elpaso, Texas.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life for Terry will be held Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Allnutt Funeral Service – Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colorado 80538, followed by a reception from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
