

Timothy James Boxley, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away on September 16th, 2024, in Parker, Colorado. Tim was the son of Cynthia (Wilson) Boxley and James Boxley. Tim was born in February of 1969 in Lamar, Colorado and grew up in Evans, Colorado.
At the age of 18, Tim enlisted in the United States Army in August of 1989 as a 25L. While in the United States Army, Tim served as senior cable systems installer and was responsible for maintaining power generators, installing and repairing circuits and wiring, maintaining wire communication systems and communication devices and associated pieces of equipment. During his time in the United States Army, Tim valued this service highly and attained the rank of Specialist, prior to exiting the service. As part of his time in the United States Army, he was awarded many medals and honors such as 35th Signal Brigade Certificate of Achievement during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, 57th Signal Battalion Certificate of Achievement (x2), Headquarters XVIIII Airborne Corps Saudi Arabia Operation Desert Storm Certificate of Achievement, Army Commendation Medal. Tim was honorably discharged from the United States Army in May of 1992. Following in his footsteps, all three of Tim's children proudly made the decision to join the United States Navy and serve their country like their dad. Tim's son Dillon served as a Utilitiesman (UT) from July 2011-July 2016, his daughter Sydney served as a Machinist Mate (MM) from March of 2019-March of 2024 and his son Ethan as a Nuclear Machinist Mate (MMN) from April of 2021-Present.
In December of 1999, Tim married Julie (Wright) Boxley in Green Forest, Arkansas and as of 2024 they have been married for 25 years. During their marriage, Tim spent his time with his wife traveling visiting various places such as Hawaii, California, New York, Virginia, South Carolina, Ecuador, the Caribbean Islands, Mexico and everywhere in between.
Tim led a distinguished and multifaceted career. Following his military service, he began his professional path at HP in the field of Information Technology. He later transitioned to Celestica, where he excelled as a TCT Support Technician. Tim continued to broaden his expertise at Digital Globe, where he played a pivotal role in producing high-resolution satellite imagery and location-based data. In the later stages of his career, he embraced a new direction in public service, working with both the Weld County Sheriff's Office and the Garden City Police Department. Tim's adaptability, commitment, and dedication to excellence were evident throughout his varied career, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and community. Following his time with the Weld County Sheriff's Office and the Garden City Police Department, Tim continued his pursuit of making a meaningful impact by transitioning into the construction industry. In his role as Superintendent, he oversaw teams and was responsible for managing projects, including the construction and repair of medical clinics along the East Coast. Prior to passing Tim worked at Seneca Companies as General Superintendent of the Western Region. As a superintendent of the western region, Tim was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring that projects were completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. He coordinated with subcontractors, managed teams, and maintained safety protocols, while also communicating regularly with clients to ensure their vision was met. His leadership and expertise were instrumental in successfully delivering complex projects. Tim was also a full-time student at CSU Global. He was working on his Bachelor's Degree in Project Management with a specialization in Construction Management. Tim's dedication and the positive influence he had on those he worked with will leave a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Tim is survived by his wife: Julie Boxley (Loveland, CO), his children: Dillon Wright (Loveland, CO), Sydney Ortiz/Jonathan Ortiz (Virginia Beach, VA), Ethan Boxley (Charleston, SC), Granddaughters: Alice, Camilla and Leilani, Parents: Cynthia and Pascual Vargas (Evans, CO), Stepmother: Stephanie Boxley (Hot Springs, AR) Sister: Sue Houtchens (Evans, CO) Brothers: Jeff (Laurie) Boxley (Laramie, WY), Erik (Susannah) Vargas (Greeley, CO), Bryan (Susan) Vargas (Topeka, KS) and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: James Boxley, his mother-in-law: Donna Wright, father-in-law: Terry Wright and brother-in-law: Terry Wright Jr., and his grandparents.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Carl Sutter officiating, at Foundation's Church, 1380 N. Denver Ave., Loveland, CO.
