Ann Sosnowchik

Ann Sosnowchik, age 96, left this world in Nice, California. Born in Campbell, Ohio, she had lived in Lake county for 9 years. For the last six years she happily resided at A Nice Care Home in Nice, CA."

In her high school years in Ohio, Ann enjoyed being a cheerleader and still has her cheerleader ‘letter’. She graduated high school in 1937 with the honor of being Class Salutatorian. Ann loved bowling and was a member of 2 leagues for several years. She also loved singing and sang in her church choir in both Ohio and Florida.

While her children were in school, she was actively involved with the PTA and the Mother of Twins Club. She was a loving and caring “stay at home” mother. After her children were grown, she went back to school and was very proud to earn her Real Estate license.

After moving to Florida, she enjoyed a lot of social activities. Then, in 2006, she moved to Clearlake. For several years, she attended the Adult Day Care Program in Clearlake and Lucerne. This was one of the highlights of her time spent here.

Ann is survived by her children: Carol (Thomas) Hewlett, Thomas (Barbara) Sosnowchik, John (Katie) Sosnowchik, James (Shelbie) Sosnowchik, 12 grandchildren: Kristi, Amber, Brian, Sam, Doug, Adam, Marc, Jeffrey, Laurel, Jena, Rachel, Erin, 6 great-grandchildren, and her brother: Matthew (Helen) Pacak. Ann was preceded in death by her husband John in 1994, to whom she was married for 51 years! Also preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Jones Mortuary in Lakeport, California beginning at 12:00 noon with a funeral service beginning at 4:00 pm. Ann will be interred at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater, Florida with her late husband John.
