Marcie,  I was so sorry I could not be at the memorial.  Dave was one of my favorite people in Spring Valley.  He was always so kind to me and I took it for granted that I would get to know him better and better. We had in common that we both liked to garden and talked about it often.  He gave me some awesome corn that he grew.  Heaven is so lucky to have him.  We will all miss him alot.  Marcie, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.  Love, Gayle Christian

I met David several years ago, but felt I had known him much longer.

To The Lapp Family and Marcy, my deepest condolences. Dave was a great friend and a great person. I have missed him since he moved to California although we did try to stay in touch. Dave will be missed. My prayers are with you all.

Dear Carol, John, Marci, Lori, and Mike.  The Stepanovic crew separated by miles over the years but our hearts have always been close.  David's loss is felt deeply by all of us.  I had a dream last night and Dad (Uncle Emil) was there with you all.  So remember that you are surrounded with the love and comfort not only of the living but all the Stepanovics watching over us in heaven.

So sorry to hear the news of David's passing. We lost touch over the years but still have fond memories of the times we spent together growing up and the kindness the Lapp family always showed us kids or John being my boss at St. Andrews. Sincere condolences to the family.

John, Carol and family I am so sorry for your loss. I was so fortunate to grow up with David. We both had great memories from working at the golf course to when David lived in St. Charles. He was a great person with a big heart and I will truly miss him. God Bless
