Donald Hand Shaffer Jr.

Donald H. Shaffer, age 68, passed away at St. Helena Hospital in Clearlake on August 6, 2011. He was born on July 14, 1943 in Rochester, New York. Formerly of Vallejo, he moved to Lake County 22 years ago and resided in Clearlake Oaks. He worked as a Foreman for Corey/Delta Constructors for 30 years. Donald was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #2284 in Clearlake Oaks and the Elks Lodge of Clearlake. Don loved camping and fishing with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Donna Shaffer of Clearlake Oaks; a sister: Ada Lower of Minot, North Dakota; 3 step-children: David Evans of Napa, Michael Evans of Sacramento and Deanna Hart of Pollock Pines, CA; and 3 grandchildren: Matthew, Hagen and Carson. A Celebration of Life Memorial Pot Luck will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 1:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Clearlake Oaks.
