Almora Busbea

Almora “Spikie” Busbea 92 of Lubbock, TX passed away on Tuesday May 16, 2023. She was born in Eldorado, Oklahoma on December 7, 1930 to Ernest and Esther Magby. She married Earl Busbea on August 6, 1949. They were married 58 years before his passing in 2008.

Almora was a homemaker, a secretary and bookkeeper for Busbea Plumbing. She had a passion for sewing, gardening, cooking and fishing with her family. Almora was especially proud of her quilts, which she considered family heirlooms by everyone in the family.

She is survived by Charlotte Darlene Busbea Howard, Denny Leroy Busbea and wife Dona, Bo Busbea and Christie Lynn Busbea Luna and husband John; grandchildren Johnny Busbea, Heidi Busbea Daughtery, Shelby Busbea Martin, Ashleigh Busbea, Danny Jayroe, Roberta Howard, Cory Howard, Adrienne Johnston Duncan, Lyndsey Gross Hoover, Heather Gross Suarez; 14 great grandsons and 4 great granddaughters; sister Orvidie Burris;

A visitation for Almora will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407. A graveside committal service will occur Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery.
