

Rosary services for Anelia Luna will be at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers on March 31,2026 at 6:00pm, followed by visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Rev. Benedict Rudolf Crasta officiating. Committal services will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Our beloved Anelia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
She was born September 9, 1952, to the late Jose V. Luna and Elena V. Luna in Elsa, Texas. Anelia was raised and educated in Ohio. She received her Master’s in Public Administration at Bowling Green State University. While living in Ohio, Anelia was the director of outreach programs serving the farm labor community. In the 1990s, Anelia moved to San Antonio, Texas and was the director of outreach programs at San Antonio Community College for 20 years.
Anelia was a devout Roman Catholic and committed to her faith and those most in need. She was passionate about singing, dancing, and Motown music.
Survivors include her sisters Carmen Luna of Lubbock TX, Olga L. Lara of Lubbock TX, Laurie A. Luna of Lubbock TX, sister-in-law Susan Luna of Lubbock, TX, nieces and nephews: Jon Luna and wife Denise, Marie Luna Gonzales and husband Michael, Miguel Luna, Sr. and wife Yvette, Gannard Shawn Reyes, and Leticia Luna Flores Cooper and husband Detrand, and great nieces and nephews: Andrew Reyes, Matthew Reyes, Zachariah Reyes, Aubree Reyes, Miguel Luna, Jr., Madison Luna, Daesa Cooper, and Zahdia Cooper.
Anelia was proceeded in death by her father Jose V. Luna, mother Elena V. Luna, brothers: Rosendo Luna and Jose O. Luna.
Memorials are suggested to the Our Lady of Grace Building Fund or Hospice of Lubbock.
