Anne Patricia Hall was born in beautiful Galway, Ireland, raised in the town of Ballinrobe, County Mayo. Anne Patricia McDonagh attained her early education through the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Ballinrobe.
Always a creative person, Anne was self taught in the skills of ornamental ceramics and custom picture framing; turning beautiful pictures and prints into fine art. Holding true to her humble beginnings, she stitched and knitted with love. Anything made with her hands she enjoyed to the fullest. She turned her framing skills into a successful small business. Her work can be found in small businesses and homes across the South Plains and beyond.
Anne was a devoted wife to Michael for over 52 years. Michael’s military service took her back and forth across the Atlantic, eventually calling Lubbock home. A doting mother to Michelle (McCarthy) and Bridget (Petty), a grandmother to Matthew and Kathleen (McCarthy), Brendan and Allison (Petty). She was extremely proud of both her daughters, but even more-so of her grandchildren. She loved watching each of them grow; enamored with who they will grow into over life’s twists and turns.
In addition to her husband, daughters, sons-in-law (Thomas McCarthy and Aaron Petty), and grandchildren, Anne is survived by eight siblings: Bridget, Maureen, Ellen, Winnie, Tom, Kate, Bernadette, and Michelle. She follows her parents, Bernard and Ellen McDonagh (née Mongan), into God’s loving embrace.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Patricia Hall, 79, of Lubbock Texas.
On October 20, 2025 Anne passed away. She was 79.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
