

Arthur Franklin Hubbard was born Jan. 27, 1922 to Arthur Sr. and Diana Mae Hubbard. The family resided in Graham Texas, where young Arthur graduated from high school. Art joined the Army Air Corp in Oct. 1942 and served his country until 1946 during and through WWII. In 1944, Art married the love of his life, Jo Ann Perry. He was a loving husband and father to four children, Stephen Perry Hubbard, Joel David Hubbard, Janet Kaye Fortenberry, and Cheryl Ann Fogelman.
Art attended Abilene Christian College and graduated Summa Cum Laude with an accounting degree.
Art worked as an accountant in Lubbock and in Austin for many years and in the later years of his life he worked as a substitute teacher in the Lubbock Independent School District.
He was a member of the Church of Christ where he served as an elder, deacon, Bible teacher and song leader. He was a dedicated teacher for World Bible School and taught many people the love of Christ.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Diana Mae Hubbard, his sister, Betty Hays and his wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Hubbard. He is survived by his sister Trudy Evans, of Littleton, Co. and his four children, eleven grand children and 7 great grand children.
There will be a viewing on Friday Feb.1, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Resthaven funeral home.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Sat. Feb.2, 2013 at Sunset Church of Christ with Mr. Frank Falbo officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock, TX.
