Barbara was born April 21, 1930 in Iola, Kansas, the only child of George and Virginia (Miller) Hart.
Barbara worked for Bell Telephone until her marriage to Jerian George Wille in Iola, Kansas on May 14, 1951. After their marriage, they lived in Iola until 1958 when Jerian got a job working for the Texas Pipeline. This traveling job allowed them to live in several different states all over the country, before finally settling down in Lubbock, Texas in 1972.
Barbara was a convert to Catholicism, and she was extremely devoted to the faith. She was very active at Christ the King Cathedral in Lubbock. She was always willing to help out her church whenever asked, including serving on the Altar Society. One of her primary duties was collecting and counting the money every Monday for decades.
Barbara and Jerian had no children, but she completely doted on her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. They enjoyed spending time with their family, as well as their friends at the country club. One of Barbara's favorite activities was golfing with her friends.
Following her husband’s death, Barbara moved to Carillon House Assisted Living where spent the rest of her life. She was always a lively soul, and she formed many life-long friendships with the other residents and staff there.
Barbara is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of which will miss her terribly.
Barbara passed away on November 15 at the age of 92. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on December 12 at 6 PM. A funeral Mass will follow on December 13 at 10 AM at Christ the King Cathedral in Lubbock.
