

Billie crossed over Jordan and went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2021, at 3:30 pm.
She was born February 02, 1929, to Joseph Arthur Monroe and Mary Granger (Odom) Monroe in Morton, Cochran County, Texas; the youngest of nine children. She married Oather Winfield “Windy” Moore Jr.,
January 07, 1946, in Garza County, Texas and to this union two sons were born: Greg and Ron Moore. She married Robert Columbus “Bob” Brannon, August 01, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas and to this union one son was born: Tim Brannon.
Billie graduated Isabell Powell’s Beauty School in 1952 and worked for Jesse Lee Sharpley for 3 years before opening her own home Beauty Shop, which she ran for 31 years before retiring to tend to her aging mother.
Billie & Bob moved to California in 1990 and enjoyed several years before she lost Bob to lung cancer in 1997, then moved back to Texas in 2000 to be closer to her kids and grandchildren.
Billie lived in Grand Prairie from 2000 – 2020. She was enjoying life at Mountain Creek Senior Living apartments until she suffered a stroke on September 30, 2020. She was residing at Laurenwood Nursing Home in Duncanville at the time of her passing.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and seven Monroe siblings: Evelyn Eudora Wages, Theria Altie Gaddis, Chester Ray Monroe, Laska Mae Fowler, Nannie Lee Stephenson, Eddie Pauline Tipton, and Robert Joe Monroe, and one great-grandchild, Prescilla Marie Sanchez.
Billie is survived by three sons: Gregory Don Moore and wife, Kathleen (Cameron) of Sacramento, CA; Ronald Edward Moore and wife, Deborah (Easton) of Bedford, TX; and Robert Timothy Brannon and wife, Roben (Lovell) of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. One sister, Mary Beth Mishler and husband, Russ of Westminster, CA.
