She was born September 1,1932 in Spur, Texas to Leonard and Margaret Fox. The family lived in McAdoo, Texas and she attended Crosbyton High School. She attended and graduated from Texas Tech in 1952 with a degree in Education. Bobby taught 1st grade for 35 years, the first few years in Whiteface, Texas.
On August 5, 1954, she married the love of her life, John P. Andrews in Petersburg, Texas and they moved to Brownfield, Texas. Bobby started teaching at Colonial Heights Elementary and taught 1st grade until she retired in 1991. After her retirement, the school honored her by planting a tree and marker in her name in front of the school.
Bobby loved the Lord and she started each day singing "This is the day that the Lord has made" followed with her daily devotional. She never tired of helping others and gave her time and resources tirelessly to friends, family and basically everyone she encountered that needed help or assistance. Bobby also worked with Meals on Wheels and other organizations to assist people in need.
After 53 years of marriage, her husband John preceded her in death in 2007. Her youngest child Van passed in 1988 and son-in-law Clint Cowen in 2010. She leaves behind her sister Betty Owens from Gatesville, Texas; daughter Shelly from Wylie, Texas; son Max and wife Teresa from Burleson, Texas; six grandchildren: Rex Cowen and wife Alex of Ft Worth, TX; Tracy Cepak and husband Joe of Wylie, TX; Tyler, Kelsey, and Austin Andrews of Burleson, TX; and Devin Williams and Husband Tyler from Austin, TX. She also leaves behind 9 incredible great grandchildren in Burleson, Wylie, Benbrook and Austin, Texas.
