He was highly regarded in the construction industry where he made many life long friends, but his greatest joy in life was being with his family.
Preceded in death by his father, Weldon Putman; his mother Oneta Putman; and brother, Buddy Putman.
Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Maxine Putman; two sons, Keith Putman and wife Donna, Brian Haygood of Lubbock; two daughters, Sherice Stone and husband Carl of Shallowater, Kimberly Stroh and husband Dennis of Colorado Spring, Colo.; stepmother, Norma Putman of Lubbock; two brothers, George McKinzie of Nashville, Tenn., and Billy Putman of Burleson, Texas; two sisters, Patsy Gibson of Lucas, Texas, and Hazel Love of Lubbock, Texas; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
