The kind and loving spirit of Carrie Pearl Wardroup left her battered body on June 3, 2015. She was 79. The sweet spirit that made her “Ma Maw” to many will be greatly missed. Her love for her grandkids and great-grandkids could have earned her the name “'course they’re all that cute Carrie.” She’d never remark on how cute, smart or talented any of the kids were without following it up with, “of course they’re all cute, smart or talented,” as the description dictated. She relished the specialness of each child, grandchild and great grandchild.
Carrie Pearl loved one man, Johnny Mack Wardroup, for all of his life and every day of hers. He preceded her in death in 1989. Carrie is survived by two sisters; Linda Rogers and Iva Haggard. She is also survived by three sons; Rick, Ralph and Russ; three granddaughters; three grandsons; seven great-granddaughters; four great-grand sons; and a great-granddaughter due at the end of this summer.
After the service, the family will receive visitors at the home of Karla and Rick Wardroup.
