Ceciley Cox was born in North Umberland, England, to Frederick and Evelyn Mitchell Johnson. She moved to the United States in 1957. She married James Cox March 1, 1957, later moving to Lubbock in 1988. Ceciley never met a stranger. She was known for her sharp wit and strong sense of humor which usually left you smiling when you met her. She was a woman with a strong faith and love for her family and friends.
Survived by her son, John Ellis Cox, step-children: Debra Garcia (Richard), Barbara Cavazos and James Cox (Becky); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James, and step-daughter, Joyce Gonzales.
