

Charles died doing what he loved- sleeping. Charles Nathan Lovell, 78, passed away Tuesday May 6th in Lubbock, TX. Charles was born November 5th, 1935 in Lamesa, TX to Albert and Edith Lovell. He graduated Frenship High School in Wolfforth, TX where he met and fell in love with Nanilea Coke. Charles married Nanilea on July 31, 1953. They celebrated 60 years together this past July. Charles was fortunate enough to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his company in Lubbock in November.
Charles is survived by his wife Nanilea, and together they have three daughters, Vicki Faulkner (Paul), Debbi Watson (Michael Gaffney), and Lori Owen (Jason); six grandchildren, Jonathan (Lindsay) and Amanda Faulkner, Carli Woodul (Tyson), Rachel, Banner, and Macy Owen; and 4.1 great grandchildren.
Charles loved spending time with all the grandchildren and to this day his ”favorite” is still up for debate! In addition to all the favorite grandchildren, Charles loved spending time at “Lovell Casa,” White River watching the sunsets, hunting, and fishing.
Visitation will be 6-8pm, Thursday evening, May 8th at Resthaven Funeral Home. The celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th at 10am at the Ford Chapel, First Baptist Church, Lubbock, on Broadway. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Meals on Wheels of Lubbock.
