Charlotte Ann Newton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 4, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on December 6, 1943, in Lubbock to Bill and Myrtle Allford.
Charlotte graduated from Smyer High School in 1961. On November 1, 1963, she married the love of her life, James Newton, embarking on a beautiful journey together that spanned over five decades.
James and Charlotte owned Lubbock Gasket and Supply and Nammco Machine LLC.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Charlotte was a woman of many passions. She found joy in reading, painting, fishing, and tending to her garden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Myrtle; daughter, Jamie Newton; and two sisters, Bobbie Allford and Connie Taylor.
Charlotte is survived by her loving daughter, Jill McDonald, and her husband, Edwin. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Corey McDonald (Chase Thomason), and her granddaughter, Baylie McDonald. Also surviving are her many nieces and nephews.
