He is preceded in death by his beloved and devoted wife Johnnie J. Patterson, his son Danny Edward, his great-grandaughter Lillian, and five of his siblings. He was a lifelong resident of Lubbock, Texas.
He is survived by his daughters: Donna Kay Staggs and husband Jimmie of Rockport, Texas and, Lisa Caldwell and Husband John of Lubbock, Texas. Clarence leaves behind four grandchildren, nine
great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, two siblings, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Clarence married the love of his life, Johnnie Patterson, on May 23, 1953. In 1997 he retired from Texas Tech University after 17 years of service. He had a tireless work ethic and will be remembered for his endless devotion to his family. Clarence had an infectious personality that left an indelible impression on all who met him. His family is left with cherished memories of a father beyond compare, and a friend beyond measure.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make donations to Texas Home Health Hospice to assist in the end of life care for families in need.
