Craig Goodwyn, 67, of Lubbock, Texas entered his eternal rest peacefully on February 22, 2026. Born January 12, 1959 to Wayne and Florence Goodwyn, Craig lived a life defined by devotion to family, steadfast service to his community, and a generous spirit that quietly touched countless lives.
Craig was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 35 years, Denise Goodwyn. Together they built a life grounded in faith, family, and unwavering support. He was a proud and dedicated father to his two sons, Seth Goodwyn and Jayson Goodwyn. Craig took great joy in guiding his boys, encouraging their interests and being present for every important milestone.
He especially cherished his role as grandparent to his adorable granddaughter, Hadley, daughter of Seth and Caitlin. Becoming “Granddad” two years ago was one of the greatest blessings of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with her.
Craig committed many years of his professional life to the insurance industry, he retired from Marsh McLellan Agency after many years as Loss Control Director where he formed many friendships. He was respected for his integrity, knowledge, and strong work ethic, approaching his career with diligence and a sincere desire to help others.
A man of service, Craig faithfully volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, mentoring his sons throughout their scouting years. He attended meetings, campouts, and trips, creating memories that he and his boys would carry for a lifetime. He believed deeply in the values scouting promotes — leadership, responsibility, and community — and lived those principles daily.
He is survived by his wife, Denise; his son Seth Goodwyn, wife Caitlin, and granddaughter Hadley of Kingwood, Texas; son Jayson Goodwyn, girlfriend Caroline of New York City; his sister, Gayle and her husband Ed Gage of Lubbock, Texas; their children, Haley and Ryan; and a very special cousin, Steve Mason. He also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends and colleagues who will deeply miss his presence in their lives.
