Daelynn Jane Brown passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 3 years at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, Southcrest Baptist Church. A tribute of Daelynn Jane Brown's life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family.Daelynn Jane Brown was born on December 2, 2015, in Hereford, Texas.Daelynn began life in the hardest way, and through many different homes, she found her way to Olivia and Matt on June 9, 2017. Olivia saw on Facebook a need for another foster family for a weekend babysitter for Daelynn, so she spent that weekend and the next with Olivia and Matt. They fell in LOVE with her and learned that she would no longer be living with that foster family, so they began the process to ask if they could be her parents. While on a mission trip in Thailand, Olivia (and Matt at home in Lubbock) found out that their desire was going to be fulfilled and Daelynn came into their home as their foster baby on June 30, 2017, seven hours after Olivia returned from Thailand. During the next two months, Daelynn blossomed! She began getting to know her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, teachers, and friends and she grew and changed more and more each day into a joyful, confident, bright, loving little girl. In August 2017, Daelynn’s biological mother made a very difficult but loving decision to relinquish her rights to Daelynn to Olivia and Matt and the adoption process began. Through many weeks and months of waiting, Olivia and Matt officially adopted Daelynn into their family on March 14, 2018. What a joyous day!!!!During the short 19 months that Daelynn was in Olivia and Matt’s lives, so many memories were made and Daelynn turned into such a wonderful, beautiful, confident, bright, joyful, sassy, strong-willed, amazing little girl. From greeting her teachers and friends at school to singing and dancing in Spanish class to hugging her Nona, Meme, Pop, Papa Marsh, and Lollie to playing with her cousins and close friends, Daelynn spread her love and spirit all over the place! Each week on Sunday as they were getting ready for and heading to church, she would say, “We going to Jesus?!?!?” She loved going to church to see all of her “people.” Something that was very important to Olivia and Matt was to teach Daelynn about who Jesus was and what He did for her and them. They spent a lot of time doing this and expressing God’s love for her through their love and actions. So many others in Daelynn’s life did this, as well. Daelynn was loved by so many and most of all by our Heavenly Father. She showed love to others just like Jesus did…the love that wraps her arms around you, is strong and unconditional, has no borders, and makes you feel like you are the most important person in the whole wide world. Today, Daelynn is in the arms of our Father, dancing and twirling with Jesus, and looking down to her parents, family, and friends saying, “You’re my best friend! Can I do Bear Hunt? I love you!”Also this week, Daelynn became a hero. Olivia and Matt made the decision to donate Daelynn’s organs to others in need of life. God sacrificed Jesus’ life and His body was broken for us to give us eternal life with Him. On Wednesday, Daelynn’s body was broken to give others life. She loved others as Jesus loved and Olivia and Matt desired to honor that love from her and give it to others in need of life-giving measures. Daelynn’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of all of her family and friends and in the lives of those she touched and saved. We love you, sweet Daelynn.Survivors include her parents, Matthew and Olivia Brown; paternal grandparents, Jan Brown and Charlie; maternal grandmother, Peggy Nelson; maternal grandfather, Marshall Nelson and wife, Laurie; maternal great-grandmother, Berta Little; aunts and uncles, Amy Ivins and husband Mike; Will Nelson and wife, Sandy; Lindsey Danielson and husband, Aaron; Annie Dahm and husband, Jeff, Rosalyn Yeary and husband, Josh; ten cousins, Logan and Rylie Ivins; Addysen and Scarlett Nelson; Rush, Cruz, and Noble Danielson; Olive and Owen Dahm; and Clara Yeary;[x_button shape="square" size="x-large" float="none" href="http://www.southcrestlive.tv/" info="none" info_place="top" info_trigger="hover"]Watch Live Stream of Service[/x_button]
