Dana Lee Rodgers

Dana Lee ”Patty” Rodgers, 47, of Lubbock died on Mon. Feb. 7 at Lubbock UMC. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10am on Sat. Feb. 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home with her brother, James “Rowdy” Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven. Pallbearers will be Josh Shepard, Jake Justis, Wayne Eakin, Robert Eakin, Justin Nixon and Jordan Nixon.

Patty was born on Nov. 16, 1963 in Lubbock. She graduated from Gainesville High School and was currently attending South Plains College. Patty was a great person who loved her family and friends. She delighted in making everyone around her feel special and loved to laugh. She was a friend to all and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her mother, Sue Beasley of Lubbock; two daughters, Ashley Owens of Lubbock and Alicia Shepard of Austin; three sisters, Kayla Shepard of Lubbock, Shelly Myers of Eads, Colorado, Pamela Unger of Lubbock, and Valarie Johnson of Lubbock; two brothers, James Rodgers of Dallas and Craig Beasley of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Trinity, Adrian, and Kyndal, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Rodgers and step father, Melvin Beasley.
