Danny Sweetman, 57, passed away September 18, 2013. Services will be Wednesday, September 25, at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5-7 p.m., at Resthaven Funeral Home. Danny was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1993. He had recently retired from Texas Tech University where he was a well-respected Senior Inspector of Building Maintenance and Construction in the Operations Division.
Danny is remembered by his sons as a teacher, airman, musician, foremen, mechanic, roofer, carpenter, marksman, landscaper, electrician, Easter bunny and most of all, hard worker, who set a high standard for his family. Danny was a go-to-guy to help fix anything! Above all, Dan was a loving, kind, big-hearted Christian husband, father and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Simpson Sweetman, two sons Jarrod Sweetman and wife, Janice, Nicholas Sweetman and wife, Ellie; grandsons Jaxson Sweetman and Anthony Sweetman; his mother, Dorothy Sweetman, sisters Joyce Richardson and Pat Walker, brother Dave Sweetman and the entire Travis Simpson family.
