Celebration of life services for Dardenella “Dardie” Williamson, 87 of Shallowater will be held at 10 am, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Shallowater with Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. She passed from this life Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Whisperwood Nursing Home.
Dardenella “Dardie” Jones was born August 2, 1924 in Western Oklahoma. On September 4, 1939 she married William Floyd Williamson. Dardie served as a Justice of the Peace for Lubbock County from 1978 to 1990. She was appointed President of West Texas Justice of the Peace Association and served for four years. Dardie was a long time resident of Shallowter and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church for many years. She loved to spend the summer in Ruidoso; she also enjoyed playing Skip Bo with her friends and will be remember for her wonderful homemade pies. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. F. Williamson, an infant son, Jimmy Dale Williamson, a son Ronnie Williamson and a daughter, Glenda Moore.
Dardie is survived by a son-in-law, Wayne Moore of Olton, two grandchildren and two great grandsons.
