Born on May 18, 1943, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, Darrell J. “Chub” Estenson lived a full life marked by dedication and service. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country in the US Navy - a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty and patriotism.
“Chub” is survived by his daughter, Michelle Riedel of Phoenix, AZ, his two sons: Darrell G. Estenson of Casa Grande, AZ and Aaron Estenson of Sacramento, CA and his grandchildren: Kevin, Kelsey, Zachary, Caleb, Wyatt, and Tatum. His infectious laugh and smile that could light up a room, along with his larger than life presence, will be deeply missed by those who were close to him.
A Celebration of Life service with military honors will be held to honor his life June 7, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel 5740 W. 19th Street. The family kindly requests that attendees wear casual, bright colored attire in celebration of “Chub’s” memory - no shorts or flip-flops, please.
