Darrell Glenn Hobgood

Darrell was born in Lubbock, Texas on August 7, 1942, graduated from Frenship High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Texas Tech University.

He married June Richardson on October 19, 1961 in Wolfforth, Texas. The couple moved to the Wolfforth area in August of 1972. Darrell had a career as a farmer and owned Farmers Service Company and managed Agriliance fertilizer and chemical plant. Darrell was a prior member of the Ropes School Board, Wolfforth Lions Club, treasurer for Wolfforth Care Givers and was the Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year. Mr. Hobgood was also a member of the Wolfforth First Baptist Church.

He had a passion for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, reading books and watching the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and game shows on TV. He enjoyed traveling and spending time in Ruidoso, New Mexico, but most of all he loved spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his son Deon, brother Davey and sister Cheri, and his parents Chesley and Dorothy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife June; daughters Kimberly Boaz and husband Rocky of Kingwood; Shannon Warren and husband Ben of Littlefield; grandchildren, Ashley Herrera and husband Larry of Lubbock; Kaley Boaz of Austin; Chelsea Boaz of Lubbock; Peyton Warren of Lubbock; Logan Warren of Littlefield; two great granddaughters; brother, Bobby Hobgood and wife Debbie of Shallowater; sister, Donna Flewellen and husband Trenchard of Lubbock.
