David Wayne Eggenberger

David Wayne Eggenberger passed away on Monday, February, 20th in his home in Lubbock, Texas. David was born on May 21st, 1960 in Ames, Iowa to his loving parents Lewis and Florence (West) Eggenberger. The Eggenberger Family moved to Lubbock in 1961. He attended Parsons Elementary from 1966-1972, Atkins Junior High from 1972-1975 and Monterey High School from 1975-1978. After graduating in 1978, David worked at Lubbock Electric. He married his high school sweetheart Donna Cowan Foerster in 1979. He retired from Lubbock Electric in 2005.

David is survived by his parents, Dr. Lewis and Florence Eggenberger of Houston, Texas; brother Steven Eggenberger, sister Diane Slaven and her husband Al Slaven of Houston, Texas; sister Cynthia Lew of Austin, Texas; brother Larry Eggenberger and his wife Melinda of Houston, Texas; brother Ron Eggenberger and his wife Cindy of Davie, Florida; and his former spouse Donna Cowan Foerster. David had six nephews, Corey Eggenberger, Evan Eggenberger, Brett Eggenberger, Ryan Lew, Alex Lew, and Trevor Eggenberger, one niece, Sophia Eggenberger and a great niece, Willa Eggenberger.

David was a kind, gentle and giving person. He was a talented artist, musician and electrician who loved spending time with his friends in Lubbock.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to David at Catholic Charities of Lubbock located at 102 Avenue J, Lubbock, Texas 79401 or Lubbock Faith Center, a Long Term Residential Recovery Facility located at 2809 Clovis Road, Lubbock, Texas 79415.
