

Delma Jean Burt, 87, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully. She was born Delma Jean Summers to Leona Wall Summers and Orville Summers and grew up in Whiteface, Texas, graduating from Whiteface High School in 1956. She married the love of her life, David Leon Burt, March 6th, 1958, and together they raised two sons.
Delma was a talented artist who loved to cook and craft, and she found great joy in tending her flowerbeds, “piddling” in her garden, and surrounding herself with beauty. She even earned the honor of Yard of the Year. She was a devoted caregiver to her husband and dearly loved her precious dog, Kallie. Above all, she loved the Lord with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory Burt (wife Darla) of Lubbock, Texas, and Mark Burt (wife Donna) of Graham, Texas; grandchildren Cody Burt(wife Kristi) of Lubbock Texas , Amanda Zellitti(husband Chad) of Lubbock Texas, Justin Burt(wife Caitlin) of East Tawakoni Texas, and Hunter Burt of San Angelo Texas; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Otis Summers (wife Alice) of Lubbock Texas and Ricky Summers (wife Ramona) of Deweyville Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Delma was a deeply loved mother and Nana whose legacy of faith and love will live on.
