Donna Walz

Donna Lee Walz, born April 7, 1954, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. At the age of 71. A woman of uncommon intellect, wit, and gracious strength, Donna leaves behind a legacy steeped in love, dignity, and character.

The daughter of Robert Lewis Durham and Kathleen Durham. Donna was raised with enduring values that shaped her thoughtful and principled nature. A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, she built a distinguished career in banking and real estate, earning the respect of peers and clients alike through her professionalism, insight, and integrity.

A devoted republican woman, Donna was actively involved in civic life and championed the causes she believed in with elegance and unwavering conviction.

Donna is survived by her loving husband John Walz, and her beloved son, J.G. “Bozz” Bosley. She is also survived by her brother, Davey Durham and her sister Diana Wilhelm (husband, Dean Wilhelm) and Dena McCaslin. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many dear friends who cherished her radiant spirit.

Donna possessed an eye for beauty and a mind for wonder. She was an avid reader and a lifelong patron of the arts. A lover of travel, she delighted in exploring the richness of the world and brough that same spirit into her home, where she was known for hosting elegant poolside gatherings. She had a generous heart and sharp wit; Donna was always unforgettable. She delighted in life’s joys, large and small-offering words of comfort and laughter with equal ease. She taught all who knew her that a mother’s love knows no end.

A memorial visitation and celebration of life will ne held on Wednesday, may 21, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Followed by a Graveside service at Resthaven funeral home in Lubbock, Tx. Friends, family and all who knew and loved Donna are warmly invited to attend and honor her extraordinary life.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in tributes to Donna's enduring love for knowledge, service and the beauty of life Well-Lived.
