Dorothy Maurine Hayes,92, of Lubbock, passed away at 8:30 a.m. January 31, 2013. She was born to Matt and Elizabeth Browning on July 18, 1920 in Pioneer, TX. Maurine graduated from Pioneer High School and later attended college at Howard Payne in Brownwood, TX where she met the love of her life, Jesse. They were married in 1940. She was a devout Christian, member of First Baptist Church in Shallowater, avid animal lover, and was a past member of the Airstream Club. Maurine enjoyed being a loving mother and grandmother, traveling, and surrounding herself with family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Hayes. Maurine is survived by son; Chris Hayes of Lubbock, daughter; Pam Louder and husband Steve, of Hereford, five grandchildren: Jantzen Louder and wife Abby, Erin Murray and husband Mark, Celeste Louder and fiancé John Claborn, Nathan Louder and fiancé Whitney Porter and Joanna Louder, one great grandchild; Maci Glynn Louder and one on the way. Services will be Monday, February 4, 2013 in Resthaven ‘s Abbey Chapel at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
