On Sunday November 2, 2014 Dorothy Lee McLaren passed away peacefully with her family at her side. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm in The Masonic Cemetery in Del Rio,TX.
Dorothy was born on April 26, 1927 in Byers, TX to Lonnie and Lennie Mae (Quarles) Hooper. She married the love of her life William McLaren on January 11, 1946 in Lubbock. In Dorothy’s eyes her family hung the moon, she loved them all deeply. She was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed keeping up with many different teams. She also enjoyed reading, embroidery, puzzles, and collecting stamps. Above all Dorothy loved the Lord and was a faithful Christian. She enjoyed reading the bible and had read through the entire bible several times.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and four sisters.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her daughter Kathy Lamontagne; grandchildren, Robert Lamontagne and his wife Erin, Lindsay Royal and her husband Stanton; two beautiful great grandchildren, Bronsen, and MaeLee Royal; her brother T.C Hooper and his wife Cletha; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Dorothy will be remembered for deep abiding faith, love of family, feisty personality and sense of humor.
