Dorothy was born in Amarillo, Texas October 22, 1933 to Eva Mae (Woods) and George Washington Myers.
Dorothy married the love of her life, William "Bill" Myers, August 29, 1952 in San Diego, California. Dorothy dedicated her life to her home and raising her family. She was a dedicated member of Highland Baptist Church and she loved spending quality time with her family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, and sister, Betty Ellerd.
Those left to cherish Dorothy's memory are her children; son, Wes Myers, daughter, Denise McCarty; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79407. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Highland Baptist Church, 4316 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79410.
