Scott, Dorothy Ann, Age 79 died peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2014. Born January 08, 1935 in Temple, Texas to the late John and Oleta Malone. Married Leon Earl Scott in 1953 and raised their family in Lubbock, TX.
Preceded in death by her husband, Leon Earl Scott, sisters; Jean Johnson and Bettie Mote, brothers; Douglas Hawkins and Mack Hawkins.
Survived by her daughters; Dorenda Deatherage (Roger) Lubbock, TX., Patti Hill of Lubbock, TX. and Tonya Shropshire of Lubbock, TX., sister; Mary Thacker, Oklahoma City, OK., 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and dear friend Letha Merritt. The family would like to offer a special thank you to her caregiver, Norma Austin.
Visitation services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, Monday, November 24th from 6-8PM; Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 25th at 10AM in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
