He was the third oldest of 10 children. He married the love of his life and constant companion, Shirley St. Clair, on October 19, 1952. Doyle was a family man, doing whatever he could to take care of his family. He was an irrigation pump repairman his whole life. Starting out with Hilton Supply Company and then started his own business, D & C Pump, retiring in 2005.
He thoroughly enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in various sports, basketball, baseball, soccer, football, softball and gymnastics. He enjoyed spending time at the hunting lease.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Shirley; brothers, Bob (Carolyn), AD (Dorothy), Jimmy and Roy Wayne; children, Kay & Clyde Patterson, Pat & Marland Brassfield, Mike & Missy Wooten, Cindy & Ronnie Edwards and Les & Becky Wooten; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. This world has lost a truly wonderful and unique man, but he is now in heaven pain free. We will see you again, Dad/Papa, we love you so much.
