Surrounded by her family, longtime friends and her constant campion; her dog, Max, Elizabeth Cook, 73 went home to Heaven and finally got to see her husband, Jim after 32 years of being apart. She was born March 9th, 1952 in McCamey, Tx to Audrey and Myrtle Eppler.
We knew her as a wife, Mother, and Meme but lots knew her as “Momma Cook” for all the kids or friends she let stay with her while going through troubling times. She only asked that you help clean on Saturdays.
In 1976, a young Liz and her husband, Jim joined a motorcycle/dirt bike club called The Boondockers, where her kids grew up and where she still partook of festivities until a few years ago. She was a proud member of almost 50 years!
She worked many years at Williamson’s Washing Machine & Supply Company and Randolph Manufacturing.
She loved Vince Gill, cruises, her 4 wheeler and margaritas!
She was a breast cancer warrior and survivor!
Proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Cook. Parents, Audrey and Myrtle Eppler, siblings; Charles (Marsha) Eppler and Betty (Byron) Calcote. In-laws; James Cook, his first wife Eula and second wife Wilma.
She is survived by her son, Josh (Michelle) Cook, one granddaughter, Jameson Cook and her daughter, Delta (Anthon) Rodriguez. Also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, lifelong friends and adopted kids.
Dr. Victor Test was an amazing doctor that treated her for several years in which her appreciation for him knew no bounds.
If you’d like to make a donation in Liz’s name to a cancer awareness foundation of your choice, we’d be thankful.
