

Lynn was born on August 19, 1944, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Opal and J.V. Davis. His family moved often during his childhood, which helped shape his easygoing nature and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Lynn graduated from Monterey High School in 1963.
After high school, Lynn worked for Hamilton Acoustical for several years before joining the Borden family, where he delivered milk and ice cream. In 1975, he moved to Lovington, New Mexico, where he managed Thriftway Grocery. Lynn later returned to construction, operating his own construction business until his passing.
Lynn was a devoted sports fan, proudly cheering for Texas Tech and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and golfing, finding peace and enjoyment in these pursuits.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughters, Tonya Pfeffer (husband Woody) and Brittan Shannon (husband Steven); his grandchildren, Tamara, Zachary (wife Kaycee), Maddie, Erin, Cody, and Colton; and his great-grandsons, Aidan, Wyatt, and Walker. He is also survived by his sister, Mary McConnell, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and J.V. Davis; his sister, Lillian Koontz; and his brothers, Kent Davis and Mike Davis.
Lynn will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and lifelong dedication to providing for and supporting his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on Friday, January 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Ridge Memorial Chapel, with a reception to follow.
