Graveside services for Elwanda Cox, 91 of Lubbock will be 10:00a.m. Monday April 15, 2013 in Resthaven Memorial Park with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Her family will receive friends from 9:00a.m - 9:45a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Cox passed away on April 12, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center.
Elwanda Marsh was born on March 10, 1922 in Crosbyton to Rubert and Lillian (Porter) Marsh. She was married to Dr. Valton Cox, a renowned Lubbock DVM who preceded her in death on September 24, 2003.
Elwanda’s life passion was building and decoration houses. She is responsible for building and decorating many beautiful homes in Lubbock. Another one of her passions was playing Bridge. She was a Life Master in Duplicate Bridge. As a result of her love of the game, she was involved in establishing the Bridge Center
Elwanda is survived by her 2 sons, Chad and Chris Cox; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Marsh and his wife, Shirley; and Sisters Gwen McDuff and Faye Stevens.
