Evelyn Joyce Perkins

She was born July 16, 1931 to Claude and Inez McLaughlin in Dickens County in McAdoo, Texas. She moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1941. She married Kenneth Wood Perkins on December 3, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas.

She worked for Skybells, Lubbock Cotton Classing Office, McLaughlin Manufacturing, and Texas Tech University. She was a loyal member of the Red Raider Club, the Coronado Booster Club, and the Lubbock Bowling League (The Imperial Jade’s). She was a faithful member of Southside Church of Christ in Lubbock and currently a member of Cates Church of Christ in Bridgeport, Texas.

Survivors include: Her sister Patsy Fisher of Lubbock, Two sons, Ken Perkins of Houston, Bruce Perkins of Rockwall, Two daughters, Vicki Pool of Haskell, and Edith Ross of Fort Worth, Texas.

Grandchildren include: Amanda of California, Jennifer of Maryland, Brandon of Lamesa, Nathan and Zachary of Fort Worth, Tyler and Abby of Rockwall, Holly of Galveston, David of Katy, Hannah, Adam and Sarah of Rockwall. She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include: Gordon Nelson Jr, David Fortenberry, Mike Fisher, Brandon Pool, Nathan Tannery, Zachary Tannery, Tyler Perkins, Jeffery Fisher, and Wesley Fortenberry.
