Frank P. Brown, 74, of Lubbock passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Lubbock. Frank was born April 12, 1942 in Dumas, Texas to Edith and Clarence Brown. He was a Graduate of Dumas High School and a 1965 graduate of West Texas State University with a degree in Business Administration. He started in the car business as a salesperson for Sid Stout Ford in Amarillo in 1964. In 1968 he moved to Brown Pontiac in Amarillo to work with his brother Elmer as his New Car Sales Manager. On May 11th, 1970, the same day as the Lubbock tornado he acquired Quinn Connolly Pontiac here in Lubbock Then in August of 1971 he acquired the Honda New Car Franchise. He operated Frank Brown Pontiac and Honda on 50th and Utica from 1972 until 1993. In February of 1993 he acquired the former Womble Oldsmobile and operated it at its current location on Spur 327 and Frankford. Frank is survived by his wife Cara, son Brent and wife Julie, stepdaughter Tori Reed, grandchildren Kelsey and husband Dylan, Blake, Bayli, Tucker and Scooter P. Brown, his furry little buddy.
