

Frank Taylor Ford, Jr, 89, of Lubbock passed away Friday July, 18, 2014 in the Supportive Care Unit at UMC. A visitation will be held on Thursday July 24, 2014 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday July 25, 2014 at 1:30 PM at South Plains Church of Christ. Taylor as he was better known in these parts was born on February 15, 1925 to the late Frank T. Ford, Sr. and Arie Drucilla Ford in Dallas, Texas.
Taylor was a graduate of Texas Tech University and he also served in the Army. On March 2, 1956 he married the love of his life Sue Alice Shaw whom he met at Church in Dallas.
Taylor was employed by the Small Business Association for many years and worked in Houston and Lubbock. He attended South Plains Church of Christ and was a numismatist.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kylie Nicole Ford.
He is survived by his wife of over 58 years Sue Ford; son, Frank T. Ford III and wife Michelle; daughter Janis Mason, and her fiance Kenneth Smith; grandchildren, Jason Taylor Ford, Kaci Michelle and husband Brandon Dyson, John Taylor Mason and wife Paige, Elizabeth Mason, and Rebecca Smith; great grandchildren, Jaxson Taylor Mason and Camden Knox Mason; and a brother William Theodore Ford of Dallas.
Taylor will be remembered for his devotion to God, his family ,friends and to helping those in need. His family will forever cherish his legacy and memories of his sense of humor.
