Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2012 from 7 to 9 PM in Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Franklin was born July 12, 1923 in Floyd Co., Texas to Bill and Ethel Hulsey. He lived in Floydada where he met and later married Janet Reddy on March 16, 1946. Their union was blessed for 57 years until her death on November 17, 2003.
Franklin served in the United States Navy during WWII on the USS Boston. He worked at Clowe & Cowan and later at Tait pump for many years.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janet, a son Larry, a sister Volene and a brother Charles. He survived by a son Harry and his wife Linda of Lubbock; brother, Leon and his wife Doris of Dumas, TX; 2 grandsons and their wives; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
