Ms. Fay would like all to know that her work here is compete. She received a call! Sort of an offer you can’t refuse, and much to our loss, she will not be returning…this offer….a reunion you might say…with her husband, family and friends, all of whom she has not seen for some time, yet their spirits have been with her constantly over the past couple of years. Oh yes, this call has guaranteed her peace, laughter, love, and everlasting love. She left detailed instructions for her children, Derl Mason, Marcelle Broome, Cathy Duck, Barbara Milikien, and Teresa Ogle not to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her time here, which is now complete. Low adherence to her instructions will not be tolerated.
All who knew Ms. Fay will recall her contagious sweet smile and love for all she met, regardless of their pain, or struggle they might have. Her heart was open to all; she was non-judgmental. Her love was unconditional…..as we saw with her grandson Charles Mason….she took this small boy and raised him with love and compassion. It goes without saying, her existence here made a difference in so many lives.
She was the only daughter of 4 children born to George and Antha Huffman of Post…and was the heart of her 3 brothers, Archie, Bobby and Howard all of whom preceded her in death…we celebrate as they are a family again.
Ms. Fay and her husband Benton were entrepreneurs…..together they built and maintained the Fay-Ben Mobile home park in Shallowater. Their legacy lived on till it was sold in 2005.
Ms. Fay is survived by 3 children, Marcelle Broome, Montgomery, TX. Derl Mason, Florida, Barbara Miliken, Shallowater and two foster daughters, Cathy Duck, Arkansas, and Teresa Ogle, Abilene. She was blessed with 9 Grandchildren; and 16 great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Benton Mason, parents, George and Antha Huffman, 3 brothers, Archie, Howard and Bobby Huffman, and grandson, Blake Nedrow, son of Marcelle, and many cousins, loved ones and family.
Ms. Fay left this world on May 13th…. under Hospice care in Conroe, TX with her daughter, Marcelle, by her side. She is in peace with our Lord and SAVIOR now….. Till we meet again Mom….We will miss your contagious smile, we love you ….you were the best role-model…till we meet again……
Condolences may be offered on our website at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lubbock, TX.
